Gimasur – Disinfection against Bacteria and Viruses such as Legionella or Coronavirus Covid19 in Granada, Malaga, Cordoba, Jaén and Seville

Disinfection is a process that involves eliminating or inactivating the growth of pathogenic microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa, preventing their spread.

Cleaning must be done before disinfection. So bacteria, viruses and germs don’t hide behind dirt and develop uncontrolled. It is necessary to disinfect periodically since disinfectants do not remain active after drying, i.e. they leave no residue. This periodicity will depend on the area to be disinfected, such as toilets, showers, dining rooms, gyms, swimming pools, water tanks, since at 5 minutes a surface can be again

In the field of the food and health industry, disinfection processes must be much stricter and must be rigorously monitored for the measures to be followed. Although with the Coronavirus Covid19 pandemic, the establishments in which we disinfect encompass any type of business, focusing on establishments with a high presence of people such as Agri-Food Cooperatives, Schools, Hotels, Pharmacies, Supermarkets and mainly in accommodation of the elderly such as the Residences of the Elderly.

Some of the most dangerous microorganisms are:

  • Coronavirus Covid19: the current pandemic comes from the Sars-cov-2 coronavirus, naming the disease it produce as Covid19.
  • Legionella (Legionella pneumophila): causes legionellosis disease. It is developed in the following link: https://gimasur.com/legionella/
  • Listeria (Listeria monocytogenes) is a bacterium present in food production environments and can cause serious and lethal infections such as the one recently occurred in Seville. Its detection in the agri-food industry is relatively frequent and difficult to eliminate by the biofilm that protects it against disinfectant agents.
  • E. Coli (Escherichia coli): is an enterobacteria that lives in the intestinal tract of hot-blooded animals, its detection involves contamination with faecal matter either through spreading agents such as water or through vectors such as flies, cockroaches, rats or pigeon droppings.
  • Endospores (spores): are forms of resistance of bacteria such as Bacillus and Clostridium.
  • Mushrooms: cause diseases such as the “athlete’s foot”(Tinea pedis).
  • Protozoa: generate cysts as forms of resistance. Examples include: amebas, paramecios, didinium or leishmania that causes leishmaniasis.
  • Other viruses to control: flu, cold, Ebola, rabies, etc.

  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
